If Suno creates a short piece of music, this is usually considered a mistake or malfunction rather than a normal result. In such cases, Suno may automatically refund your credits, especially if the output is extremely short or clearly broken. However, you will still be charged the standard amount of credits for generating a song that is about 20 seconds long: typically 10 credits per prompt, which produces two versions of the song.

If you receive such a short track, you should either downvote it to help Suno avoid generating similar content in the future or report it directly to Suno support. While this may sometimes result in a credit refund for technical errors, it is not guaranteed.

Unfortunately, if Suno generates a 20-second song and it is not considered a malfunction, 10 credits will still be deducted from your balance per prompt.
