When I first started selling beats, I struggled with guilt every time money came in. I felt like I was “taking” from people, so I kept defaulting to giving away free beats instead. At the time, I didn’t realize this way of thinking was sabotaging my own growth as a producer and entrepreneur.
The truth is, mindset is everything. You can have skills, talent, even great music, but if your mindset is holding you back—whether that’s guilt, self-doubt, or the fear of charging what you’re worth—you’ll stay stuck. Once I shifted my mindset and understood that selling beats actually creates value for both me and my customers, everything about my approach changed.
That’s why we begin with mindset before anything else. It’s not just a nice thought—it’s the foundation for every action you take and every result you create.
