I’m a beatmaker who sells beats. I create beats one by one, so I don’t feel the need to make an album. What do you think?
As a beatmaker selling individual tracks, you may not feel the need to make full albums. However, there are some potential benefits to releasing collections of multiple tracks as albums:
- You can provide more music to your fans at once
- Selling albums is often more lucrative than selling individual tracks
- Having an album concept allows you to create a cohesive, narrative-driven body of work
- It increases opportunities for promotion and exposure to new listeners
- It can help build your brand identity as an artist
Creating albums isn’t absolutely necessary, but it could be a viable option to help advance your career as a beatmaker. For long-term growth, considering putting out albums at some point may be worthwhile. But there’s no need to rush – you can take your time and build your career at your own pace. The key is finding what works for you and steadily developing your craft.
