I believe that if have received any money, even just one cent, from your beat itself or from your music work, you are already a professional beatmaker. So, just be proud, and treat yourself like a professional, if you are really into beatmaking. If you treat your music as a hustle, it will become a… Continue reading You are already a professional beatmaker if you have ever received money from your music work
I have just updated my Waves Update Plan. I forgot how much I paid last year, but this year, I’ve paid $180. It’s never free to make beats. By the way, I use Waves Mercury, Abbey Road Collection, and some of their synth/piano vsti’s.
I suggest you to make one beat every day for the next thirty days. Why? Because it will create a habit for you to start making beats every day. Once you pass the 21 day mark, it will become automatic for you, that you don’t actually have to try anymore. Your brain will automatically direct… Continue reading Making beatmaking your habit

There is one thing I realized when I used to use Airbit (it’s a name of a beat selling platform). When I was speaking to Airbit customer support, they used the word “asset” for beats. That was really inspiring, and it gave me a new insight. Beats are assets. I think it is important to… Continue reading Beats are assets
Recently, I started using the OneKnob filter by Waves and it’s working great. I duplicate the instrument track, turn OneKnob filter ON during verse (mute the original instrument track), and mute track with oneknob filter and unmute original instrument track during hook, and a hip hop beat can easily be created. I love this plugin.
