    “Hey migrated BeatStars users!

We hope you’ve been enjoying your new Soundrop accounts. As we have passed the 1-year mark from the time BeatStars announced that they were retiring their distribution services, we wanted to let you know about a couple of changes you may notice in your account.

First, all of your releases and tracks have now been successfully migrated into your Soundrop account and distribution actions will become available on August 15th. If you see any problems, please submit a ticket and we’ll take a look.

Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed duplicate versions of your music on some platforms. This is a normal step in moving content to keep your streaming stats and listeners. The duplicates are temporary and will disappear after 1-2 weeks if they haven’t already.

As a reminder, we also updated our deal terms with your music. As a special migration offer for BeatStars users, Soundrop kept your deal terms the same as with BeatStars (100% commission) until July 31, 2024. Starting August 1, we updated your deal terms to a custom rate – You’ll keep 90% of your earnings, and Soundrop will keep 10%, with no annual subscription fees or submission fees. You’ll see this change in your August earnings.

    Love,
Your friendly music nerds at Soundrop”

From August 1st, the distribution of sales from music distribution sites will be 90% instead of 100%. However, it seems that there will be no annual fees or fees for distribution as before.
