If you are a paid (Pro or Premier) user, you are assigned all rights in the Output (your original public song) that is generated from your submissions. This means:

  • You may use your own original public song for commercial purposes.

However, other users do not automatically gain the right to use your original public song for commercial purposes just because it is public. The Terms state:

Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Service, if you are a user who has subscribed to the Pro or Premier paid tier, Suno hereby assigns to you all of its right, title and interest in and to any Output owned by Suno and generated from Submissions made by you.

There is no clause stating that other users can commercially exploit your public original song unless you explicitly grant them a license or permission. Making a song public means it can be viewed and downloaded, but does not grant commercial usage rights to others by default. Others can only use it for lawful, internal, personal, and non-commercial purposes unless you say otherwise.

In short:

  • You: Can use your Output commercially as a paid user.
  • Others: Cannot use your public Output commercially without your explicit permission, even if it’s set to public.
