Kendrix Latest Update Overview

Kendrix is a music information management and rights certification system for music creators. In April 2025, it underwent a significant update, with the following major changes and enhancements:

Main Update Details (April 2025)

• Migration to a New Blockchain Platform
  • The proof-of-existence feature, previously based on Kendrix’s proprietary private blockchain, has migrated to “Soneium,” a public blockchain developed by Sony Group.
  • Soneium is an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, offering higher tamper resistance, scalability, and improved data reliability.
• Enhanced Trust and Expandability
  • By moving to a public blockchain, data tampering by administrators is virtually impossible, further increasing the reliability of the proof-of-existence function.
  • Based on Soneium’s vision, future feature expansions are expected, including stronger protection of creators’ rights, support for secondary use, and deeper engagement with fan communities.
• Instructions for Existing Users
  • Existing users are required to agree to the new “Terms of Use” and “Purpose of Personal Information Use” by September 30, 2025. If they do not agree, their previous proof-of-existence data on the old blockchain will be deleted.
