I’m a beatmaker. I share useful information with my followers, such as techniques for beatmaking and the latest information about the music industry. However, I feel like I’m only attracting other beatmakers. I want to attract artists to sell my beats to.

If you’re primarily attracting other beatmakers with your current content, it may be necessary to tweak your strategy to appeal to artists who are potential customers for your beats. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Highlight Value for Artists: Make it clear what value your beats offer to artists specifically. For example, discuss how certain beats are suitable for particular genres or how they can accentuate vocals or raps.
  2. Share Industry Insights: In addition to tips on beatmaking, consider sharing information that artists would find useful, such as tips on securing record deals, management, or promoting their music.
  3. Showcase Success Stories: Share case studies or testimonials from artists who have successfully used your beats. This not only builds your credibility but also shows potential customers that they can trust your work.
  4. Collaborate: Partnering with existing artists to showcase how your beats are used in finished tracks can be a great way to attract attention from other artists.
  5. Free Samples: Offering free samples or “lite” versions of your beats can give artists a risk-free way to experience your work, potentially leading them to purchase full versions later.
  6. Influencer Partnerships: Consider partnering with popular artists or music-related influencers to co-promote each other. This will help you tap into an audience that is inherently interested in music creation.
  7. SEO and Content Marketing: Create content around keywords that artists are likely to search for. This can help you attract organic traffic from artists actively seeking beats or music production tips.
  8. Direct Outreach: Sometimes, directly reaching out to artists who you think would benefit from your beats can be effective. Use social media or email to initiate conversations.
  9. Community Engagement: Participate in online communities and forums where artists hang out. Offer valuable advice and naturally, you can also talk about how your beats could solve some of their problems.

Each strategy will have its own set of pros and cons, and the effectiveness can vary. It may be beneficial to experiment with multiple approaches to see which are the most effective for attracting artists to buy your beats.
